The Border Bandits Soccer Club works very hard to provide an excellent
Training staff to fulfill the Club Mission Statement and Goals and provide
commitment to each player and family. The professional Trainers have
the primary responsibility for player development. The Club believes that
our Training Staff provides an opportunity for players to be developed by
some of the most highly regarded Trainers in Texas.
Gary Hamilton: Club Director

Gary was born in Glasgow, Scotland.  At the early age of 17, he played his first game for
the English First Division team Middlesbourgh Football Club.  He played in 270 first
team games, and scoring 27 goals.  Injury forced him to retire in 1992.  The
Middlesbourgh Football Club voted  him one of the top 50 players to play for the club in
the past 100 years.
He has also earned 9 caps for Scotland, while playing with the Scottish National Youth
team in Russia(1984).
Gary started his youth coaching career in the Fall of 1992.  He came to the Border
Bandits when there were only 2 teams.  Now there are 17 boys and girls teams, an
academy, and a number of state championships.  He now hold a number of USSF
Licenses:
    "A" License
     National Youth License
He has been one of the longest serving South Texas Youth Soccer Association(STYSA)
State Team coach, serving since 1996.  Gary also serves as a STYSA senior instructor.  
For the past two years he has also been on the Region III coaching staff.

Alberto Flores: Girls Director of Training

Alberto has been training youth teams since 1995.  He joined the BBSC in 1999 and
became the Girls Director of Training.  He is also the BBSC GoalKeeper Trainer, in the
past 3 years we have had 3 Lady Bandits Goalkeepers make their respective STYSA
State team .  He holds a "USSF
A" License and is on STYSA State Team Staff.
Graduated from Mary Carroll High School, Corpus Christi, 1992.
Played at the University of Texas-Pan American Division I soccer, Sunbelt Conference
as a Goalkeeper 1992-1995.  Started all fours years.  Graduated from the University of
Texas-Pan American, Majored in Kinesiology and Minored in History.
Played Semi-Professional soccer with the EXCEL soccer club.  Team went to National
Open Cup Final in Florida.
Middlesbrough FC, which competes in the fabled English Premier League,  recently
nominated 30 former stars to be added to the “Boro Brick Road.”  Middlesbrough
fans then voted for 1 player from three distinct eras, with the winners having their
names added to the attraction outside Middlesbrough’s newly built stadium. Fans
voted former midfielder and current MYSA/BBSC Director Gary Hamilton top of the
1966-86 poll.  Hamilton made his professional debut for Middlesbrough at age 17 and
played his entire career with the club.  His fierce style and will to win quickly made
him a crowd favorite.  Hamilton played 272 games for the English footall club before
being forced to retire at age 26 due to injuries to his knee.  MYSA/BBSC would like
to congratulate Gary on his recent recognition.  As top vote getter of his era,
Hamilton will have his name added to the "Boro Brick Road," dedicated to the club’s
legends and the fans who have cheered them on.
